I relate to female characters who don't have any unnecessary quirky traits, who are assertive, hard-working and reasonable. Her inner dialogues were super easy to follow and it was such a smooth ride. I am sure I have said this many times but every series I’ve read from Devney Perry starts with a bang and The Edens is no exception! Just last week I read the prequel novella and fell in love with this family, so I am not surprised at all that I have devoured the first book in the series. What’s not to love about a small town, enemies-to-lovers romance, am I right? All that mixed with a whole lot of family interactions, tension-filled suspense and sizzling chemistry makes Indigo Ridge an amazing start to Devney’s new series!

there was absolutely nothing between them. there was no emotional attraction, no love at first sight, no nothing. it was so underwhelmingly bland. Closure: This ends with a pretty good epilogue and what I would call a HEA ending they’re married with a child so, the author positions this book like enemies to lovers and it’s not even nearly it. it’s just one-night stand to lover or something like that. but they had absolutely no banter or tension. winslow(h) and griffin(H) both are super boring people and i’m not interested in them or their lives at all. they literally have no personality atp and i won’t even remember their names a week later. there was even a line about their chemisty being “off the charts”.. they’re such clowns.

Until years later when he has the audacity to show up in her small hometown of Quincy, begging for her help. Every time she mentioned that Griffin had a cowboy belt, boots and hat and ran a farm, this is all I could see: but really, how i even supposed to read this book with a straight face with this writing style?? it’s not like it would be shameful to write a good book babes😞. Overall it was a really enjoyable read. It is a two POV book which we get to experience from Winn´s and Griffins POVs. The romance was sweet, the murder mystery was really good and with that I am looking foward to dive into Junper Hill.

They have some tension, chemistry, and scenes -- but not so much it takes away from the story. I definitely think that that is the only reason I really liked this book because the romance alone would have not made this a complete story. I'm baffled with the changes and plot twist and not in a good way. I was annoyed. I was fine with Knox's ex showing up even though it did nothing for the story but when her parents came I was already exhausted.

Let me make this clear. You are mine. Drake is mine. For all of your todays and each of your tomorrows. Mine. this was honestly such a short read, yes i did find many issues with this book but i am trying to be the embodiment of live laugh love on here <33.
