About this deal

The Squig Hopper box lets you build any combination of Boingrot Bounders and Squig Hoppers and also 1 of each Boss. We built 2 units of 5, but you can build all 10 of one type or any combination in between to suit your tastes. You’re only ever going to need a maximum of 3 of each with the boss in Warcry, so building 2 units of 5, each with a boss will ensure you have enough for different warband makeups. The Squig Herd box lets you build 2 Herders and 10 Squigs. You will never need 10 Squigs for Warcry, but it will give you a solid foundation for any expansion you want to do with the force. Tobias Kempf – Disciples of Tzeentch: Another Incarnate summoning list, this one using Eternal Conflagration to buff up the shooting of it’s 10 Pink Horrors Finally there’s Chasing the Moon which requires your general to survive the battle, potentially much easier than it used to be if they’re a Galetian Champion, and to have been affected by the Light of the Bad Moon in 3 battle rounds. Battle Tactics The Gloomspite Gitz Warband Box is the perfect place to start a Gloomspite Gitz warband. It contains 10 hoppers, that can be built in any combination of Hoppers or Bounders, including both bosses and it also has 3 Sneaky Snufflers.

Hogg Euan – Ossiarch Bonereapers: OBR have enjoyed an unexpected renaissance, with the humble Mortek Crawler uniquely positioned to absolutely dunk on the mass bodies low bravery armies like the Gloomspite Gitz lists terrorising the metagame at the momentFor those of you with a spiderfang general, Spider Riders can be battleline and certainly exist. A bit more exciting is the Arachnarok Spider with Spiderfang Warparty , giving the faction its sole ability to monster mash if you’re that way inclined. No longer relegated to being the worst big spider but it’s battleline I guess, the warparty now counts as 10 models for contesting objectives which is really good! Behemoth There’s three interesting, if not overwhelmingly strong, options for the Dankhold Troggboss. Firstly, Alpha Trogg provides two extra wounds and the Monster keyword, a small mercy for everyone who thought they should be monsters anyway. Trogg Smash is a once per battle 3” mortal wound bomb that triggers after the Troggboss fights. Most intriguing is Loonskin which lets you take one of the non-arachnacauldron Gitz endless spells for 0 points and lets your general attempt to cast it (but crucially, does not make them a wizard so any of those predatory spells will be wild). Artefacts This has been mentioned a lot but I'm just getting into AoS and want to know what models to buy and paint, I've tried to come up with an army list that has all of the models I liked the look of and wanted to paint in it but I have no idea if it's actually ok to use this army. Not planning on anything competitive, just casual play with friends.

Badsnatchers are also new and provide a buff to your moonclan wizards, letting you reroll one of your casting dice if they’re within 9” of another moonclan wizard. Rerolls to casting is nice, but the moonclan lore isn’t quite good enough to make forcing it through a requirement, and the other options for subfaction are spicy enough to compete. This review was completed using a copy of Battletome: Gloomspite Gitz given to us free by Games Workshop. Moonclan units get Frothing Zealots for everyone’s favourite 4+ rally and Lunar Squigs still provides the excellent ability to run and charge for squigs. Spiderfang Venom upgrades the spider venom of your spiderfang units to trigger on an unmodified 5+, and Moonlit Hide is your trogg buff for +1 to save rolls. There’s 2 major reasons people generally like the gitz: They like the underdogs, or they like the silliness (or both!). Gitz have been seen as the underdog army basically from Age of Sigmar’s inception. Their rules have always been a bit haphazard, weaker than equivalent units and subject to a lot of randomness. This does have a certain appeal to a kind of person who didn’t really care about winning and just wanted to cause some chaos on the table. What the bad moon does is provide a benefit to any unit under its light, which means wholly within the large quarter that the moon is occupying, or the entire board if it’s in the centre. We are a small team of Warhammer Enthusiasts and miniature collectors, hoping to support and further promote the hobby.

Phil Marshall – Slaves to Darkness: Phil’s Cabalists list puts up another strong finish, with it’s 10 Chosen and 6 Varanguard faltering only against the eventual winner Mike Stewart Your Squig riders are going to be doing most of the work with grabbing key objectives, taking out enemy objectives, and stopping your opponent scoring. Use the rest of the Gitz to swamp the enemy down. They can struggle if you need to take out a large group of heavily armored enemies, but a well-placed swarm with Stab’Em Good can overwhelm them with dice. Just be careful if your own leader is the target. Make sure you keep them on the move. Our goal is to build upon and consolidate the great work already being done by other community members across various forums, reddit threads, and hobby blogs, and bring together a comprehensive library of all these useful Build Instruction booklets. I figured the loonboss and 7 sneaky snufflers can buff the stabbas. The Loonboss on cave squig can ride with 10 Bounderz, while the other 10 can ride with the Mangler squig. The squig herd will roll with a fungoid cave shaman (the one with squig lure), as well as maybe the other 7 sneaky snufflers. and the 10 squig hoppers can roam catching of-positioned enemy units. This gives me 4 threats (in the form of 2-3 unit combos, and one unit to roam. **Also one fungoid cave shamen to go where needed. These guys are an incredible unit in the Gloomspite Gitz, pushing your chosen units to fight harder by supplying them with deadly fungi. With a few Sneaky Snufflers nearby, even a unit of mere grots can be transformed into a terrifying force on the battlefield.

The Showdown

Shootas and Stabbas return and both are improved on their baseline warscroll. Shootas in particular now come with more range and hit on a 4+ with their bows, and get an extra shot for having 10 or more models. Stabbas have their shield baked in for a base 5+ save and have lost their wound bonus in exchange for a really exciting ability to contest objectives from 9” away instead of 6”.
