This is a fantastic book for a range of people, whether they be genderqueer, or related to or friends with someone who is. Kindness,”“Visibility,” and “Support,” might have worked, with the last used to incorporate the idea of an ally, so that “A” could then be used for “Asexual.This book is absolutely adorable and I love it so much and I can't wait to read it to my potential future offspring or my niblings or really any child I have the opportunity to read to. Update: A commenter reminded me of yet another one, M Is for Mustache: A Pride ABC Book, by Catherine Hernandez and illustrated by Marisa Firebaugh (2015), from Flamingo Rampant micro-press, which has a few queer-specific terms like “pride,”“rainbow,” and “queerspawn,” but that also includes more general words to describe the people and feelings encountered at Pride.

If you need introductions to some of the basic terminology of the queer community, then this book will be somewhat helpful.
The kids who this book is targeting are still deciding whether they want to be a dolphin or a mermaid! The little vignettes inspired by each letter of the alphabet are informative and uplifting for tiny humans who are intersex or gender creative and helps normalize the queer experience in an age-appropriate way. According to Greystone Books, it’s “a playful, subversive alphabet book that aims to spread awareness and demystify gay and queer terminology for everyone. For myself, I didn't grow up with these terms and I feel like finally people are understanding that there is nothing different about LGBTQ and the only thing wrong is the way they were and may still be treated by others.
